“Your slideshow preview made me cry!”
I just LOVE hearing those words! My goal is to capture your child’s spirit, personality, and natural expression and reflect it in my photographs. With kids, it’s that innocent smile or the big soulful eyes or the cute little pout. I want to capture WHO your child is…not necessarily a smile but the simple expressions that portray what you know and love about your child. My photographic style is natural and relaxed. Your session will be just the same – natural, relaxed, and unhurried.
Before the session
Prior to the session, you will receive a welcome packet with details regarding pricing, clothing suggestions, location options, and business policies. If you have questions at any time, please feel free to contact me!
Your session
Sessions typically last 1-2 hours – enough time to feel comfortable, relaxed, and have fun! My speciality is on-location, natural light photography. The location may be your home, a park, or other mutually-agreed upon outdoor location. I have some favorite spots around town so feel free to ask for suggestions! With children, I’ll spend some time getting to know them so they feel comfortable with me. I also find that giving them space to explore provides wonderful opportunities for capturing the most natural and precious expressions. For family sessions, I will probably take some “posed” pictures, but I will also ask you to just interact and have fun together so I can catch some natural moments as well. These are often the most loved images!
